Dr Tan is an
over trained and over worked Western medical Doctor. He has been involved in
Tea since his wife decided to pursue Cha Dao 茶 道 professionally. Traveling with his wife to visit Tea Masters
and various tea regions, he was bitten by the tea bug. Since 1994 he has tried
to be the perfect Tea Person 茶 人 to the very
substantial annoyance of his wife. The
good doctor’s eccentric calligraphy and painting of Bodhidharma 达 摩 has been
exhibited and collected by his eclectic group of friends and patrons. He
studied Chan 禅 under the late
Chan Master Yu Dan 鬻 亶 and practices
Rinzai Zen 临 济 禅. He is currently the assistant janitor of Tea
Bone Zen Mind.
